I suffer from blepharitis which I keep under control (most of the time) with the use of good eye hygiene. A few years ago I was unfortunate to get a chalazian which didn't respond to heat, massage, eye scrubs etc or antibiotic cream and eventually I had it removed under local anaesthetic which left me with a black eye for a week and unable to wear any eye makeup for a month.
Fast forward to present day... I have what appears to be another chalazian (different eye, different symptoms to be honest, this one is painful to the touch and shows 'white' if the eyelid is pulled tight. I've had antibiotic cream and a double dose of tablets from my doctor which I finish tomorrow night. It appeared to be better the other day but now seems to be back again. Now the reason I'm desperate... it's my son's wedding in 3 weeks and I really can't believe how unlucky I am to get this now :( If anyone can offer me some advice on how to get this at least to reduce in size so I can appear normal in the wedding photographs, I'd be so grateful. Having surgery now isn't an option, I'd still look like I'd been in a fight by the time of the wedding. Thanks in advance for any posts. |
