Dear All,

We would like to gather information from both existiing LUMECARE customers & other forum members about the types of products which work best for them.

We will not use any individual replies but only use summarised data to enable us to better focus our efforts for existing & future product development

Thanks to everyone who completes this poll, we really do appreciate your help

Kind Regards
Claire

Hi I have tried almost everything that the doctors can throw at me! Each product has its strengths, long lasting being the most important for me as I am just too busy to keep dropping everything to remoisturise my eyes.

Having had this condition for years, I think I must have tried every drop there is but never really found a solution.

I find that some products work fine for a while and then start to irritate. I had success with Clinitas initially but then my eyes started to sting when I used it.

The more `gloopy' drops cause problems when they settle on the base of the eyelids.

I should really keep a log of the time I spend trying to sort out my eyes during the day.

I agree, nothing particularly works, and some even make it unbelievably worse!  The thicker lubricants do nothing for me, except make the sticking in the morning worse.  I have Celluvisc 4 x a day, and then probably every 15 mins in the evening when my eyes are at their worst, but it doesn't really have any long term effect, and in fact, I do believe makes them worse ultimately.  I'm now trying one for hayfever, which is preservative free, and allegedly helps with light sensitivity, which I also suffer with during the evening.  I will advise you all how I get on with it.  I'm always hopeful when I try something new, but has so far only led to great disapppointment.  I tried Clarymist once, that was probably the worse evening I've ever had with my eyes, and I just had to take myself off to bed, and threw the stuff away.  Fingers crossed for this new one I'm going to try.

Hi everyone
I have tried minims artificial tears and celuvisc both helped a bit but i finally found clinitas ultra 3 which has definately improved things for me
When i first developed posterier blepharitis 3 years ago i had "holes " in my tearfilm due to evaporation with the glands not working properly and so my eyes were terribly sensitive and i could hardly bear anything in or near my eyes
Things have improved and part of the improvement i think was due to the clinitas ultra 3 drops Smile

The ones I tried for hayfever, once again, were absolutely terrible, and made my eyes considerably worse, so I'm trying yet another one, all just such a waste of money, but would be well worth it if it worked.  So far, celluvisc has been the best one.  Will let you all know how it goes with the new one.

Ive been using the long lasting tear gel for the last month and I must say how delighted I am with it. To start with the gel seemed gloopy but its only for a few seconds in the eye. I didnt have any problems with vision after the first few moments but the drops really did seem cooler, smoother and much longer lasting than the hypermellose drops that my doctor had been giving me for the last ten years! Id rather have somethig which just stopped the wretched dry eyes but this gel does at least keep it at bay longer than others.

by the way, the forum is very interesting - its good to know that you are not alone and I dont feel so sorry for myself now! Thanks Jenny
