I also had lasik surgery about 3 years ago after wearing contact lenses for about 15 years, I thought it was safe, that I would have perfect vision & finally be free of any daily eye care hassles. How wrong can you be!
I soon started experiencing dry eye symptoms & was told it was normal for this to happend at first & that it would go away "after a month or two", unfortunately it actually became worse so I tried all the various drops & gels etc expecting a cure but now I just very grudgingly accept it's a condition I will have to live with.
Anyway, out of desparation for an alternative treatment I recently tried the EyeBag from this site & have found it very helpful especially just before I go to bed as it is also a way of relaxing & not focussing on my problem, especially as it always seems worse at the end of the day. I also put some of the gel in before sleeping & that helped with the normal overnight irritation & problems openning my eyes in the morning.

Thanks, I will try the eyebag and gel - this morning my eyes were stuck together as usual and I worry about the real damage that has been caused by the laser operation. At least I can see without specs or contacts but the inconvenience of my eye problems takes the shine off it! thanks for your tip Julia |
